Jeneva Rose’s The Perfect Marriage tells the tale of a married couple – consisting of lawyer wife Sarah and her writer husband, Adam – whose worlds are thrown into a tailspin after Adam’s mistress is found murdered. Sarah is tasked with representing her husband in court, one thing I know I’d never do in this situation!
The story does a great job of bringing you into their world, giving a deep look at the intricacies of their relationship dynamics. They barely spend any time together as a couple, which right off the bat had me wondering why she was representing him. The fact they didn’t spend much time together was the first major red flag to me, and it was no surprise when the mistress came about!
This book had me at the edge of my seat! Every page had me running to the next. Every time you think you know where the story is going, BAM there’s another plot twist. I definitely recommend this book if you’re someone into suspense, drama, deception and all that fun stuff.
If you’ve read it, what did The Perfect Marriage make you think about trust, loyalty, and red flags in relationships? Did you see any of the twists coming? And, if you’re continuing the series, don’t forget to check out my review of the second book, The Perfect Divorce!
My Final Pour:
4.5/5 lattes
Perfect for: Fans of domestic thrillers, courtroom drama, messy marriages, and twist‑after‑twist storytelling
Overall vibe: Fast‑paced, addictive, and packed with red flags, secrets, and jaw‑dropping reveals
